Dundas beats Clarenville 3-2

Randy Rowe scored in overtime to give the host Dundas Real McCoys their first-ever Allan Cup Canadian senior hockey championship with a 3-2 win over the Clarenville Caribous on Saturday in Dundas, Ont.

Rowe's goal came with 6:18 remaining in the first OT after Darryl Smith scored twice in regulation for Dundas.

Cam Fergus had the goals - both on the power play - for the Caribous, who killed off all seven of the Real McCoys' man-advantage chances. Fergus's second goal had tied the game at 2-2 midway through the third period.

Dundas netminder Mike Mole made 51 saves. At the other end of the ice, Jason Churchill stopped 38 shots For the Caribous, who lost in the Allan Cup final for a second straight year.

Clarenville, which won the title in 2011, hosts the Allan Cup tourney in 2015.
