Brad Gushue picked up his first victory today after a shaky start at the Tylenol Players' curling championship being held this week in his home town.
Gushue beat out the Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Que. team, skipped by Martin Ferland, 6-3 during this morning's game.
Gushue will go on to play the winner of Reid Carruthers and Jeff Stoughton Friday morning.
Meanwhile, world curling champion Kevin Martin of Edmonton beat out the Greg McAulay team from Richmond, B.C., this morning 7-2.
Martin will go on to take on the winner of the Kevin Koe and Mike McEwen game Friday.
