It will be Regina's Amber Holland and Thunder Bay's Krista McCarville in the women's final of the Tylenol Player's championship in St. John's Saturday afternoon.
Holland beat out Eve BÉlisle of Montreal 6-4 Saturday morning, while McCarville won her Saturday morning match 7-2 against Calgary's Cheryl Bernard.
Both Holland and McCarville's teams are even with a 5-2 record. The final will go ahead this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. local time.
Meanwhile, the men are drawing ever closer to their Sunday final, but the hometown team won't be playing.
Brad Gushue was eliminated from the tournament after losing a close early morning game against Greg McAulay's Richmond, B.C. team Saturday. McAulay took the win 6-5.
He is now scheduled to play Glenn Howard in the quarterfinals on Saturday evening.
Kevin Martin and Randy Ferby will also play in the men's quarterfinals at 8 p.m. Newfoundland time.

Needs Korab back. Something is missing Brad, whether you believe or not.

Good riddens. He was getting way too arrogant anyway. This is his reality check.

There's only one move left Brad. Everyone else has left the building. The time has come to give Mark Nichols the bad news. Maybe Robin Short could replace him as mate. He would certainly fit in well with the rest of your talentless recruits.

I think what gushue did has now come back to haunt him. Think it all went to his head. it's either his way or no way it seems, that's not what a team is about

Diego summs it perfectly.
I am sure that there is little sympathy in the hometown for Brad personally.
Jamie was the link that made the team tick. -

If Jamie was such a great curler that everyone makes him out to be Gushue would keep him and put up with the personality conflicts but there are obviously a lot better curlers out there then him.
