West coast police investigate tennis court vandalism

Police in Corner Brook are investigating a report of malicious damage to the new tennis courts in the west coast city.
Officers say someone threw large rocks over the fence around the courts, causing more than $2,000 worth of damage to the brand new surface.
The damage was discovered around 8 a.m. Saturday morning by a City of Corner Brook worker, who was inspecting the area.
There are no suspects yet, but police are calling on the public for information. Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is asked to call the Corner Brook detachment of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at 637-4100, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or
