Police in Bay St. George are investigating an accident between a police cruiser and a cyclist today.
Officers say a 14-year-old boy riding a bike collided with a police car. The cyclist received minor injuries and was treated at hospital.
He apparently rode into the car from a dimly lit place. He was also wearing dark clothing and riding a black bike, officers say.
For their safety cyclists should always wear helmets and reflective clothing when riding at night.

Sounds like the police statement covered all the bases.....
cyclist....BAD
police....WITHOUT FAULT
According to this, the cyclist rode out of the dark, on a black bike, wearing dark clothing.....and ran into the police car.
Forgive my cynicism, but if not done already, it might be appropriate for the telegram to contact the injured cyclist to hear the other side of the story. -
