The annual Rennie's River Duck Race was won by a beak Saturday.
The winning duck in this year's race was Qwacky, owned by Terry Paddon of St. John's.
Paddon, like hundreds of others paid $10 to float a duck down the river in a race for a $5,000 prize.
The annual race is a fundraiser for the Fluvarium. The race began at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Stephen Herder Bridge on Rennie's Mill Road and it took 58 minutes for Qwacky to reach the finish line.
This was the 21st annual running of the race.
