Man injured after being allegedly beaten with pieces of wood

A 29-year-old man sufferred head lacerations, a broken arm and multiple bruising Sunday after allegedly being beaton by a number of men in front of The Sport's Club at 11 Boncloddy St.
The man is being treated in hospital.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to the incident about 4 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers called for an ambulance for the injured man. It is alleged that multiple assailants attacked the man using 2'x4' pieces of wood.
The investigation is continuing.
