Emergency workers are currently on the scene of a serious two-car accident on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Butterpot Park.
Police say it appears a car headed east flipped into the path of a west-bound car.
Several ambulances and fire services are also at the scene, where it is believed two people are seriously injured.
Traffic is backed up in the area and drivers are asked to be especially careful in the area and be patient so emergency workers can do their jobs.
