Erin Porter and her Bally Haly rink of Alysha Renouf, Kylie Power and Leah Prosserit defeated clubmate Julie Devereaux for the provincial junior women's curling championship Tuesday at Caribou Curling Club in Stephenville and it wasn't even close.
Porter scored deuces in the third, sixth, eight and ninth ends en route to an easy 10-4 win.
Meanwhile, the provincial junior men's crown will be decided today between Kelly Schuh of St. John's and Ryan Withycombe of Bally Haly.
Porter's foursome, coached by Michelle Renouf, finished atop the standings on a 5-0 mark after round-robin play.
Devereaux and her rink of Jessica Mouland, Gail Bailey and Erica Trickett finished second in round-robin play at 4-1.
In junior men's play, Kelly Schuh and his ReMax Centre rink of Cory Schuh, Scott Eaton and Stephen Moss finished in first place after round-robin play with a 6-1 record.
Withycombe (5-2) and his rink of Chris Ford, Alex Simarie and Justin Hewitt defeated Colin Thomas of the Re/Max Centre 8-6 in the semifinal.,
Thomas jumped out to a 3-0 lead after three ends against Withycombe, but the teams were tied 4-4 after seven.
Withycombe took the lead with a single in the eighth only to have Thomas come back with a pair in the ninth. However, Withycombe pulled it out with three in the 10th end.
Thomas (5-2) scored once in the 10th end to edge Matthew Hunt (5-2) of Corner Brook 5-4 in a tie-breaker earlier in the day.
The provincial winners earn the right to represent the province at the nationals in Salmon Arm. B.C., Jan. 31- Feb. 8.
