Three Memorial University volleyball players were revealed as members of 2008-09 Atlantic University Sport (AUS) all--conference teams on Wednesday.
Adam Gilbert was named to the AUS men's first all-star team. On the women's side, Sasha Wilkins was named to the all-conference second all-star team, while teammate Samantha March was chosen to the Atlantic all-rookie team.
The awards were selected by the head coaches in the conference.
Gilbert, a senior from Cupids, led the AUS in points with 4.16 per game and kills with 3.71 per game. Gander native Max Burt, who plays for the Dalhousie Tigers, was also named to the first all-star team.
Wilkins, a third year from Gambo, led the conference with 37 aces this season (0.48 per game). She also finished third in kills (3.70 per game) and scoring (4.39 points per game). Wilkins was the 2005-06 AUS rookie of the year.
March, a rookie from Bay Roberts, was second on the Sea-Hawks in points with 2.55 per game and third on the team in kills with 1.97 per game.
