The host Prince of Wales Skating Club won the Chapman Club Award as the club accumulating the most points, while the Avalon region took the Pound Regional Trophy for top region as the World's Finest Chocolate Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador figure skating championship wrapped up Sunday at the Northeast Avalon Arena in Torbay.
The Snowflake FSC from Happy Valley-Goose Bay won the Allan R. Davidson Award as the most improved club.
Top individuals were Stephanie Fagan from Prince of Wales, who won the E.C. Ted Withers Award for the most outstanding performance, and Nicole Burt from the host club, who took home the Balisch Cup as the most artistic skater. Andrea White and Tyler Park from the Snowflake club, in preliminary dance, won the Polaris Ice Davce Award.
Olivia Drover-Martin from Prince of Wales, Francine Harris of Silver Blades FSC in Corner Brook and Stephanie Nevin of Stephenville's Silver Jets qualified for the national STARSkate Championships, with all three setting provincial records.
