NLTA executive elected at meeting

The members of the NLTA Provincial Executive Council were elected today at the NLTA Biennial General Meeting in St. John's.

The newly elected executive for 2009-11 include: Derek Drover (Gaultois); Dean Ingram (Clarenville); Jackie Maloney (Marystown); Tina Matthews (Trout River); Jean Murphy (Cow Head); Graydon Pelley (Trout River); Sandra Quigley (Happy Valley-Goose Bay); Gabriel Ryan (Holyrood); Paula Smith (Bonavista); Jean Williams (Bonavista).

The NLTA president and vice-president were elected through a province-wide vote in February.

Lily B. Cole (Creston South) was elected as NLTA president for 2009-11. She begins her term of office on Aug. 1.

James Dinn (St. John's) was elected as vice-president.
