Polar bear sighting near Anchor Point

The Flowers Cove RCMP are warning motorists that a polar bear has been sighted near the community of Anchor Point on the Northern Peninsula.
The bear is near the road, and motorists are advised to stay inside vehicles at all times and to stay away from the animal.
The bear could be dangerous if cornered or approached by snowmobiles.
Wildlife Officials are on scene and are assessing how to deal with the animal.
