Members of the Saskatoon Police Service are about to end the last leg of their four-year bicycle journey to raise awareness about diabetes.
The seven people bicycling were joined by Police Chief Clive Weighill Tuesday and will reach their destination in St. John's today.
A ceremony will take place at St. John's City Hall at 11 a.m. with members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
The members, known as Peacekeepers Pedaling for Aboriginal People with Diabetes (PPAD), set off from Ottawa on May 21 in the final part of the initiative that began in 2005 with a journey from Vancouver to Saskatoon.
