Update: Young boy drowns in swimming pool

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has corrected the age of a young boy drowned in a residential swimming pool in Conception Bay South Wednesday evening.
The actual age of the boy is 15 months, not 18 months as previously reported.
Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to the scene about 8:09 p.m. Wednesday. The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
The RNC says the death is not suspicious, however, investigators with the major crime unit will attempt to determine the circumstances which led to the tragedy.
