Wow, I bet daddy is going to be really mad when he gets home from work today. Maybe we stopped giving out drivers licenses as if they were candy, things like this wouldn't happen.

Chances are he was driving like a bat out of hell, like many drivers in Mount Pearl who drive down Ruth Avenue , Commonwealth Avenue and Glendale Avenue as if they were at Avalon Raceway. Perhaps cops should be on these roads waving checkered flags at the finish line. As far as the posted speed limits are concerned, they might as well remove them because they're only a joke.

Michener is a residential street, something went wrong for this accident, either a mechanical failure, speed etc.. or texting. As a new parent my biggest fear is people texting while driving, it scare's me more than impaired drivers. I worry everytime my child is in a car that some inattentive texter will kill us.

Where in the article does it state the sex of the teenage driver? I am glad that the teenager did not get hurt in this accident, it could of turned out to be a tragic event for their family.

This dude should have his drivers license taken away forever. He could have injured or killed someone!

Glad the teen wasn't seriously injured, but to flip a vehicle going around a turn on Michener almost requires excessive speed, does it not?

There is a reason why the speed limit is reduced in residential neighbourhoods. The turn at the bottom of Michener is at a reduced speed to avoid accidents like this. There is a park a few feet away from where this accident occured and drivers need to take the time to drive sensibly in the area. I'm just glad no one else was injured because of this drivers actions. Maybe we need to just put the insurance too high for teenage drivers to deter parents from giving kids their car to drive.
