After a two-week-long rash of thefts from vehicles in the St. John's City Hall parking lot, an arrest has been made.
Ron Penney, chief city commissioner, said dozens of employees have made complaints over the last few weeks about damage to their vehicles and items within being stolen.
Security was virtually doubled, he said, and on Monday night, a thief was caught in the act.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary confirmed an arrest made at the same location.
More details will be posted as they become available.
