Actually The Bench if you read the article waqs out scored 33 - 4 . Some would say they were playrd too long! They are a young team! Doug is intense and if anything does put as the media especailly way too much presure and attention only on the local kids! No wonder it is so hard to draw the best Period - as other schools do - wherever they are from!

    Look carefully at the stats.
One of the biggest positive stories continues to go untold week after week!

Nathan, the same reason basketball is not in the crossword section??? We just can't compete and when the best we can do on a weekend with a full AUS schedule is one bronze in wrestling, got to wonder if Ms. Healey is doing her job???

Volleyball? Why is this in the sports section and not in the entertainment section?

Mr. Partridge, have you ever learned the old saying.. there is no I in TEAM How can you praise one person ALL the time and think that this ONE person can carry a TEAM.

Open your eyes you have a full bench with LOTS of depth....start using fresh legs and quit making excuses because one player wasn't into the game, what about the rest of the players? Why choose such a large number of players when you only use the same couple game after game.

MUN coach's have to smarten up and use ALL their bench, or at least give them a chance to prove themselves!

Obviously if your starting line is not performing, it's time to make a change, how difficult is this to understand? DUH!

Mun varsity programs, espcially basketball, get too much press. My goodness, who cares what these 20 somethings are doing? They clearly are going nowhere and the press makes them seem like the Lakers. Get over yourselves folks, you can't even beat PEI. Bring back hockey, at least its a Canadian sport with pride.

Do you call 2nd place not performing ? Len the bench gets plenty of opportunities to play. The team has several rookies that need more practice time before they can thrown into important game situations.

    Good luck!

    Mr. Len,

Not sure if you keep in touch with women's varsity but
Mr. Partridge has had a very successful women's program for the last 15 years.
There are always at the top of their division.
I think it is time for you to ha, DUH, wake up.

If you want to come up with money for a hockey team dropping Volleyball would be a great fundraiser.
How about Mens Basketball...they win one play-off game ten years ago and their still getting cash???? Give me a break.
What needs to happen is a shakeup of the internal office of MUN's Phys-Ed. Their all ex B.Bersand V-Bers. They can't see outside the box....oh it cost too much money!! Mean while back on the ranch they cough up the money for 10th tier sports.
