Fatal house fire in Hopedale

Police in Labrador are investigating a fatal fire in Hopedale today.
Emergency personnel were called to the house fire around 4 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival fire crews were told a woman was still inside. After pulling her from the burning structure, the 50-year-old woman was taken to the Hopedale Clinic.
She was pronounced dead at the clinic.
The woman's name is being withheld pending notification of her family.
An autopsy is being arranged and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
