ROUGEMONT, Que. -
Two cyclists are dead and four others are injured after being hit by a pickup truck just south of Montreal.
The gruesome scene played out this morning on a highway and left scraps of twisted metal scattered along the pavement.
The six were members of a cycling club and were heading to Sherbrooke for pleasure when the tragedy occurred in Rougemont.
Quebec provincial police Sgt. Claude Denis says alcohol was not a factor.
The six included five women and one man.
Both the deceased are women.
