A 30-year-old male motorcycle driver was taken to the Health Sciences Centre Wednesday afternoon following a collision on the Outer Ring Road just before 5:30 p.m.
A bystander at the scene said the driver apparently clipped a Dodge pick-up truck. The motorcycle driver ended up in the median, while his bike slid several feet up the highway's east-bound lane.
The driver was conscious and speaking to emergency workers, but was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. Traffic heading east was backed-up for several kilometres.
The RNC are investigating.
