Army cadets will be seen this weekend on trails in the Maddox Cove and Petty Harbour areas as they take part in a two-day hiking and mounting biking expedition.
The 36-kilometre trek gets underway in Goulds at 9 a.m Saturday.
The 30 teenaged cadets are from the 2515 St. John's Army Cadets, and this weekend's expedition promises a fun and challenging experience that will put their skills to the test as they work together to climb hills, cross water, and navigate obstacles.
The group will leave the Goulds on Saturday morning and will pass through Maddox Cove before stopping for the night in Petty Harbour. They will complete the journey at historic Fort Amherst on Sunday afternoon before heading to HMCS Cabot for a barbeque with family and friends.
