The G.I.R.L. Run Club is gearing up for another summer on the trails in and around St. John's.
The club, which is a free, learn-to-run program that wraps up with a five-kilometre group run at the end of the summer, encourages young women to get involved with physical fitness.
This is the second year for the program that's run by volunteers and teaches girls Grades 7 to 9 to run long distance.

if it was young men, it'd be sexist. There are far too many girls only programs for our youth. Especially in skilled trades and technology courses.
