RCMP have not yet released the extent of any injuries, nor how many people were on board, a single-axle deliver truck (box van) that flipped over on the Trans-Canada Highway about five kilometres east of Whitbourne this morning.
The truck flipped over in heavy rain while heading west.
The accident has blocked one lane of traffic on the divided highway, while RCMP have managed to keep the other lane open. The motoring public can expect minor delays.
The vehicle remains on its side with extensive damage, the contents of its box scattered in the ditch.
It is not known what caused the accident at this point, but there has been heavy rain and road ruts are noticeably filled with water.
Further updates as they become available.
