2010 Newfoundland Targa Standings

After three days of racing, just one car remains penalty-free in the 2010 Targa Newfoundland.

Targa veteran Bob Yuille and co-driver Mal Swan cruised through the Kittiwake Coast stage — which took competitors back towards the east coast through the communities such as Main Point, , Musgrave Harbour, Wesleyville, and Brookfield — in their 1969 Z28 Chevrolet Camaro.

One of the day’s stages also went through Greenspond, where many members of Targa competitor Rob Wells’ (better known as Ricky on television’s Trailer Park Boys) family still resides. Wells and co-driver J.P. Tremblay, his TPB co-star (Julian), driving a Porsche Cayman S, are in 12th place in the Grand Touring division.

Canadians Forces veterans Master Cpl. Jody Mitic and Cpl. Andrew Knisley, competing in support of the Solider On Fund, climbed to ninth in the modern division in their Acura.

Today, competitors make their way down the Burin Peninsula for another nine-stage day.
