RCMP investigating counterfeit money in Burin

RCMP on the Burin Peninsula are currently investigating a complaint of counterfeit currency in the area.
On Saturday, a counterfeit $20 bill was used during a transaction at a store in the Burin area.
RCMP are warning store personnel in the Burin area to be aware of the potential for additional counterfeit bills.
Anyone with information concerning this incident or any other crime is asked to call the Burin Peninsula District RCMP at 1-800-709-7267 or 279-3001. If callers wish to remain anonymous they can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (7267) or www.rocktips.ca.
