Mount Pearl First Choice/Molson remains undefeated through its first four games of the 2014 MolsonCoors Challenge Cup soccer season after recording a pair of shutout wins over the weekend.
On Sunday at Mount Pearl, the home side blanked the St. Lawrence Labatt Laurentians 2-0, a victory that came less than 24 hours after a 1-0 victory over Feildians/Ernst and Young
Former Canada Games goaltender Michael Delong recorded both shutouts for Mount Pearl, which is the early league-leader with 10 points (three wins, tie), having scored six goals and given up just one through four games.

Mount Pearl netminder Michael Delong backstopped his team to a pair of shutout wins in Challenge Cup play in St. John's over the past weekend.

In Sunday’s other Challenge Cup game, played at King George V Park, Holy Cross Kirby Group also remained undefeated (two wins, two ties) with a 2-0 victory, downing Feildians. On Saturday, Holy Cross and St. Lawrence played to a 2-2 draw.

The Laurentians played both their games without head coach Derek Strang, who was suspended for two games for verbal abuse of an official in St. Lawrence’s second game of the season, a 1-1 tie with Feildians.
