Police are investigating a morning bomb scare at St. Peter's Junior High School in Mount Pearl.
A note was found and students were evacuated so a search could be carried out, said RNC Const. Paul Davis, but when nothing was found students were sent back to class.
Davis describes such fake calls as "disruptive," and reminds people that these events tie up police and fire resources that may be needed to respond to other emergencies at the same time.
Anyone found to have made a fake bomb threat faces the possibility of being charged by police.
