Fewer, Vaughan 1-2 in Harbourfront 10K

Colin Fewer and Kate Vaughan were dominant Sunday morning, posting easy victories in the popular Nautilus Harbourfront 10K road race in downtown St. John's.

Fewer set out unchallenged from the start and distanced himself from the others as the race progressed. He finished in 31:18, well ahead of the second-place finisher, Shawn Miller, who stopped the clock in 35:47.

Edward Durnford was third in 36:23.

Vaughan not only finished first amongst female runners, but second overall to Fewer in a time of 35:26.

Caroline McIlroy was the second female finisher in 37:44, while Alison Walsh placed third in 39:40.

Next on the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association's calendar is the 'Not So Hilly Half-Marathon' next Sunday in Mount Pearl.
