The auditor general reports: 2014

Newfoundland and Labrador auditor general (AG) Terry Paddon presented his office’s review of the province’s latest financial statement on Jan. 17.

The following week, on Jan. 23, came a report on the AG’s look into government departments, targeting topics including: Eastern Health spending, waste management, fines collection, cranberry industry support, oil royalty audits.

The AG said he is planning to release a second report of findings from his staff’s review of government departments later this spring.

Each report has led to multiple stories related to government finances and government spending. Presentd here is the collection to date.
