Caribbean Princess leaving St. John's harbour

A number of people gathered around Signal Hill and other locations near the harbour to watch the cruise ship Caribbean Princess leaving the city Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013. According to the City of St. John’s website, the ship has 3,080 passengers and 1,200 crew. It arrived in St. John’s harbour about 8 a.m. Wednesday, and began its departure around 5 p.m. The ship’s itinerary includes Iceland, Greenland and British Isles. Southampton, England; Cornwall, England; Dublin, Ireland; Glasgow, Scotland; Reykjavik, Iceland; Qaqortoq, Greenland; St. John’s, Newfoundland; New York, New York.

    We sailed on this beautiful magnificent ship in July/Aug. 2013 around the British Isles in 12 days starting in Southamptom. We highly recommend this ship, its crew, the service and all associated tours. A well run, efficient and safe ship.
