Gibraltar Development Ltd. was the big winner at the ninth annual Canadian Home Builder’s Association Newfoundland and Labrador (CBHA-NL) BERG Awards, taking home three honours for their work in the province’s residential construction industry.
The St. John’s firm was the recipient of new home awards in three categories: under 1,500 square feet, multi-unit/condo and marketing.
“The Berg Awards recognize achievement in high-quality workmanship, customer service, energy efficiency, and professionalism in new home construction and renovation,” CBHA-NL CEO Victoria Belbin stated in a release.
“Although times have changed, our members’ commitment to quality remains top priority.”
The province’s residential construction industry produced $1.6 billion in investment value and created $725 million in wages through over 11,200 jobs in 2016.
Other Berg winners were York Developments Inc. (new home over 2,200 square feet), Butler’s Quality Contracting Ltd. (new home award 1,500 and 2,200 square feet), Spaces (renovation award kitchen), K&P Contracting Ltd.
