In tandem with the theme of ‘Proud People, Powerful Potential,’ this year’s 53rd annual Business Day will feature local business leaders who have opted to invest their time and talents in this province.

The speakers at the half-day conference organized by the graduating class of commerce students at Memorial University, include Stella’s Circle CEO Lisa Browne and Definitions Health and Wellness managing director Mike Wahl.

Bluedrop Performance Learning CEO Emad Rizkalla will deliver the keynote address.

“Organizing this event — from behind-the-scenes logistics to preparing an agenda that’s relevant to the business community — is one of many ways that our students gain experience relevant to the real world of business,” Dr. Isabelle Dostaler, dean of the business faculty, stated in a release.

“It also offers our students and faculty members another means by which we engage with the business community, ensuring that the ties that connect us are strong.”

The conference, taking place at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland starting at 8 a.m this Friday, is open to students, faculty members and business professionals.
