Nalcor Energy has been awarded a Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) Sustainable Electricity Award in the category of advancement of an integrated approach to sustainability.
In a press release announcing the honour, Mike Roberts, chief human resources officer vice president safety, health, and sustainability, says for Nalcor employees, “sustainability is about keeping each other safe, protecting the environment, investing in our communities and ensuring our workplace is diverse, inclusive and engaging.”
The crown corporation is in the midst of a five-year plan to develop a sustainability strategy that factors in environment, economy, and society.
