Bill Fanning, president and country manager for Kaverner Canada Ltd. and Stephen Edwards of ExxonMobil Canada Ltd. will be the recipients of a pair of Noia industry achievement awards next year.
At a luncheon on Mar. 9 of next year, Fanning will be honoured with the outstanding contribution award, recognizing individuals who have influenced oil and gas industry development and demonstrated qualities of vision, integrity and leadership.
During 30 years in the industry, Fanning was a co-founder and director of Atlantic XL Inc., president and CEO of Spectrol Group and senior vice president and GM with SNC Lavalin. He also served five years on Noia’s board of directors and took part in developing its Redefining Oil strategy.
Edwards, a professional engineer and HUC manager with the Hebron project, will receive the rising star award, launched in 2014 to recognize employees 40 years old or younger who have made strides in the industry.
He’s been involved with the Hebron project since 2010 and over the past seven years has significantly and directly impacted design and operational decisions.
