ST. ANTHONY, NL – White Metal Resources Corp. has an exploration plan in place for its Gunners Cove property on the Northern Peninsula for the next 12 months.
According to a news release from the company on Jan. 30, stage one of the plan is a soon-to-begin airborne magnetic-electromagnetic time-domain geophysical survey over the entire property.
White Metal says it is confident the airborne data from the survey will help the company better understand and delineate features.
Beginning in mid-May or as soon as the weather allows, stage two will start and consist of detailed mapping and prospecting of the property. White Metal will be looking to expand areas of known gold mineralization and delineating higher grade gold zones.
By September or October, the company hopes to begin stage three, which will consist of diamond drilling all favourable targets outlined by a combination of the airborne geophysical survey and the detailed mapping and prospecting program.
The Gunners Cove property, which consists of 682 claim units, is located 20 kilometres north of St. Anthony and easily accessible, according to the company.
Work to date at the property has highlighted a large area of anomalous gold values and extended the discovery area substantially, the news release stated.
