The Telegram's notice of Prof. George Schwarz's death brought back memories of my attending his history lectures in the 1960s.
He was an extraordinary teacher and, in those days, part of a history department at Memorial that included Jim Teague, Gerhart Basseler, David Alexander, Gerry Panting and other fine teachers.
