An industrial fabrication site will be set up in Argentia with a $4 million kick start from the provincial government.
The facility will be run by Alberta-based JV Driver Corporation, mainly making steel pressure containers for mining, oil and gas, and other industries.
The facility is expected to create about 130 jobs and bring $30 million to the province's economy.
The $4 million, from the government’s Business Attraction Fund, is part of an estimated $10 million in start-up costs for the facility.
“Our government is extremely pleased to support this significant, new business venture, and I welcome JV Driver’s expansion to the province,” said Business Minister Ross Wiseman.
