The Agnes Pratt Home Family Fall Bazaar, originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5 , has been cancelled but we will continue to accept take-out orders for lunch. Take out soup lunch can be ordered by calling 570-1251.

Memorial University will host the 33rd annual conference of the Atlantic Provinces Linguistic Association Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7. Support Southern Shore United's Soccer excursion to Ireland by ordering some fresh fillets from them. Saturday, Nov. 7

To celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Week the Newfoundland and Labrador Down Syndrome Society will host a free pancake breakfast at St. Paul's Anglican Church, on the main road in the Goulds, from 9-11 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

The Gathering Place, Military Road, will have a flea market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is 25 cents. All proceeds in support of The Gathering Place.

St. Michael's Parish on St. Clare Avenue will hold its fall sale with bake and craft stalls, morning coffee at 9:30 a.m. $3.50, soup luncheon for $3, buffet suppers at 5 p.m. for $15. Card party 7 p.m. cost $2. For takeouts at $10, call 722-4511.
