A Ming’s Bight man died Thursday night following a single-vehicle collision in the Baie Verte Peninsula community.
Baie Verte RCMP, in conjunction with RCMP Traffic Service West collision analysts, are presently on the scene investigating the accident which saw the vehicle leave the road and roll over about 11 p.m.
The man, who had been the only person in the pickup, apparently lost control of the vehicle and was partially ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over.
Fire personnel from both Ming's Bight and Baie Verte were dispatched to the scene to extract the driver.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and pronounced dead shortly after admission into the Baie Verte hospital.
The name of the deceased will not be released pending notification of next-of-kin.
