Remembrance Day ceremonies to be held across province
The Telegram
The provincial government is encouraging all residents of Newfoundland and Labrador to participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies Wednesday throughout the province as a sign of respect for soldiers who have served, and are currently serving, our country.
In St. John’s, Shawn Skinner, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will represent the Premier Danny Williams at the Remembrance Day wreath-laying ceremony to take place at 10:50 a.m. at the National War Memorial in St. John’s on Wednesday.

Sad State from St. Johns, Newfoundland writes: I would go, but I have not been given my H1N1 shot due to the changes they make on who can have it on a day to day basis. Pretty sad that many people will need to avoid attending these services due to not remaining on the priority list. Looks like it is time to force all the school children to attend on our behalf, maybe they will learn something for a change rather than sitting at home or in the malls.

John from NL writes: Hopefully Danny is going to be presenmt at the ceremony in Corner Brook where his district is. I would expect the Premier of our province would be attending the Ceremony in the Provincial Capitol at The National War Memorial, however I can also understand if he wants to go to the ceremony in his district.

Frank Blackwood from Richmond Hill, Ontario writes: The Rememberance Day service was well attended here in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
I was very proud to lay a wreath in tribute and memory of our Veterans and Troops in Afghanistan and other missions globally.
The noblest of all the generations has left us, but they will never be forgotten.
