RCMP have released the name of a bird hunter from Triton, Notre Dame Bay, who had gone missing Sunday and whose body was found about 11 a.m. Monday by a local fishing vessel.
Mervin Winsor, 63, was reported missing about 3:20 p.m. Sunday. He had gone hunting alone in a 19-foot boat.
Winsor’s body was located about 11 miles north of where his capsized boat was found.
Local fishing vessels, the Canadian Coast Guard and a Comorant helicopter had been involved in the search.
