Labour leader Bill Parsons was scheduled to make a presentation this morning at the inquiry into offshore helicopter safety in St. John’s.
Later today, St. John’s East MP Jack Harris is also scheduled to appear at the inquiry. He plans to use the opportunity to raise concerns about offshore search and rescue (SAR).
Military SAR helicopters were on training exercises out of the province when Cougar Flight 491 crashed into the ocean March 12, killing 17 of the 18 people on board.
