The Telegram
Terry French is the province’s newest cabinet minister, being appointed to the portfolio of Tourism, Culture and Recreation during a swearing-in ceremony today at Government House in St. John’s.
Former tourism minister Clyde Jackman has been shuffled in as Minister of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, while former fisheries minister Tom Hedderson has been moved to fill the vacant position of Minister of Transportation and Works.
“I welcome these ministers to their new portfolios. In particular, I welcome Minister French as our newest addition to the cabinet,” Premier Danny Williams said.
“I have every confidence that the experience of these individuals will greatly benefit the people of the province.”
