The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is warning the general public of a quantity of drugs stolen overnight.
The RNC received a report today that overnight a quantity of prescription blood-pressure medication was stolen from a vehicle parked in the New Pennywell Road area of St. John’s. Stolen was a quantity of Vaseretic (10 milligrams). This drug is used to treat high blood pressure and can also be used in persons with congestive heart failure. Vaseretic can be harmful if not taken in the manner prescribed for the purpose intended.
