EDMONTON, ALTA. – There are all sorts of ways to support a cause.
On Friday, June 15, Kellie Loder, a native of Badger, N.L., will jump out of a plane at Skydive Edmonton.
Adeara, an addictions recovery centre for women in Edmonton, Alta., selected the musician at random as their featured artist for its Leap of Faith program.
Loder, a graduate of College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) performance, business and technology music program, said she’s elated to raise money for the cause while also sharing her love for music.
“My songs are a life experience. So when I write them, I am narrating a story, which is similar to many, and sharing that every step we take leads to success in our own ways,” the Juno-nominated folk-pop artist said in a CNA release.
“Leap of Faith is an excellent way for me to share my songs and connect with the women at Adeara and motivate them.”
Loder will be playing several dates in Newfoundland this summer.
