St. John’s, N.L. — A man who thought to grab some cash at the end of the night at a convenience store in the west end of the city was foiled by the store employees and ran off without any money.
Just before midnight, the RNC responded to the report of an armed robbery at the convenience store.
The store clerk told police that just before closing, a male entered the store threatening the staff and demanding cash. He was unsuccessful and left empty handed.
The RNC brought in a police dog as well as officers from the forensic identification section. No arrests have been made up to publication. The investigation is ongoing.
