Thomas Battiste, a 43-year-old former resident of Channel-Port aux Basques, is serving time in prison after being arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant from more than 20 years ago.
The warrant was issued on Tuesday for being unlawfully at large after Battiste failed to complete his intermittent prison sentence.
Battiste appeared in Stephenville Provincial Court Tuesday and was sentenced to 75 days for his previous charge and 12 days for being lawfully at large.
