SYDNEY, N.S. — An arrest warrant has been issued for a Membertou man who police allege has tampered with his electronic ankle monitoring bracelet.

Terrance Milward Campbell, 33, whose last known court address was Membertou, was ordered to wear the bracelet after being released on conditions from Amherst provincial court on May 4.

He was released on four counts of breaching court orders and single counts of robbery, assault, assault causing, evading police, theft and mischief. The offences are alleged to have occurred April 21 in Springhill, Cumberland County.

Among the conditions of his release, Campbell was to reside in Membertou and wear the bracelet which tracks the movements of offenders. He is scheduled to return to court in Amherst on Aug. 14 to enter pleas.

In securing the arrest warrant, Cape Breton Regional Police have now charged Campbell with mischief and four counts of breaching his release conditions. Police say Campbell appears to have broken his bracelet.

Campbell is described as 171 cm (5’7”), weighing 88.5 kg (195 lb) with brown hair and brown eyes.

He also has a provincial court date in Pictou on June 22 to set a trial on a charge of assault and is to appear in Sydney provincial court June 29 charged with two counts of breaching court orders.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact them at 902-563-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 902-562-8477.
