Three great white sharks broke the border rules big-time on Friday.
The sharks were tracking “very tight” to shore near South Shore communities, according to a tweet from the research foundation Ocearch.
3 big white sharks all pinged in today very tight to land on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Ironbound is exactly where we tagged him, @GWSharkHal is in Mahone Bay and Vimy is in Barrington Bay. #SharkWeek2020 pic.twitter.com/F8jE4HJOIK

A shark that the foundation has named Ironbound was pinged east of Lunenburg, while @GWSharkHal checked out Mahone Bay and Vimy was spotted in Barrington Bay near the southwest corner of the province.
Sharks have been in the news recently along the east coast after a fatal attack on a woman in Maine last month.
Experts were quick to reassure coastal residents that such attacks are very rare and that it's likely the shark mistook the woman for a seal.
The three sharks' close approach to Nova Scotia happened to coincide with Shark Week, a popular annual series on the Discovery channel.
